Bodylift Zone 1.5” vs. RC 1.25”

Recommended Posts

Thats not a bad idea to cut them.. But is cutting them the only thing id have to do..or are there other pieces that are meant to be 3" and have to be adjusted?

all body lifts include are the pucks. and the bolts. you can get a few of them with bumper brackets. I would get the brackets custom made at a shop. You should be able to cut the bolts to size too.

HAs anyone done that.. cutting the pucks/spacers down to the size they wanted.. Im thinking of getting a 3" kit and cutting them down to 1.5-2"

Im just concerned about the rest of the kit..will anything else have to be modified?

I am trying to install the Rc 1.25 lift. found this cable wich is on the driver side just under the door.

I do not see this in the directions. It looks like there is not enought play in the cable to lift the truck.

Anyone come across this and know what needs to be done?

thanks

From what I've read that strap is on all reg cabs. Just fab up an extension braket and call it a day. When I did the Zone 1.5" on my last truck it was an ext cab and I also did not have the strap.

  • 4 weeks later...

iv never seen on^ only 3 inch. but you might could buy a 3 inch and cut the pucks?

you would have to cut all the bolts too, or buy new ones... doesn't seem practical. I have a 2500HD as well and are looking for little more lift. I have installed the torsion keys and add-a-leafs in rear and I have gained at least few inches in rear over time. I can crank up the front more to make it level, but the ride SUCKS...so i lowered it a bit to make it comfortable.

I would still like couple more inches, and being i tow a trailer I thought it would be good to just body lift it. But as you all have pointed out the only thing i could find is 3" body lift.
