Havent been to a theater in about 3 years :(

I got that beat, I havent been to the movies since Raiders of the lost ark. Whats that 1982-83?

1981. Damn, I was born in 1984!

Not sure us non-movie goers are missing much. There have been a handful of movies the past decade that were truly excellent. Movies now are all a ripoff of something else, it's expensive, the snacks are terrible and the place is usually filled with assholes. I'm beginning to doubt there will ever be another movie so groundbreaking in terms of the experience as say Jurassic Park- the special effects from almost 20 years ago (holy shit does that make me feel old!) still can't be touched. About the only things that might come close are the Pixar movies, but those I've only seen at home or visiting friends who have kids. I've enjoyed all the Pixar movies I've seen but I don't feel like I'm quite pathetic enough to go to a kid movie solo.

I think the last "great" movie i seen in theaters was independence day. That was so long ago I think I went with my parents ?

Yeah that's a bit newer than Jurassic Park and I'd agree with you on it's status too.

Growing up sucks, I hate looking back at these movies and realizing how long ago they came out now.

I think the last movie I saw in a theater was "Hannibal". I just saw it as a waste of money, kinda like cd's and dvd's. Pretty much since I've owned a computer, I stopped all that stuff. It's not a big deal to me if I see a movie earlier than some other people. Not that many good movies have come out in awhile anyways. I still haven't watched the movie with the blue people that everyone said is a must see. Looked kinda stupid to me. I look for movies made in the 80's. That was a good era for movies.

If I was young and still dating, it would be different, because these kids really have nothing else to do. Most have no imagination and do what the public expects them to do.

Lol Avatar? I must not have been the only one who thought it was overrated. It was all CGI, the plot, characters, even music were mediocre.

Around here, people know you're country when you're honest and respectful.
