Walking Dead Season 2 Finale

Anybody here still watching The Walking Dead?

Last night's episode was by far my favorite of the season, maybe the series so far. I loved the fact that they brought Michonne in at the end and even showed the prison on the cut away scene.

It's great that they are following the book a little more now than before too. I didn't catch the Talking Dead last night but a buddy at work said that the writers "learned their lesson" towards the end of the season with how slow some of the episodes were and they mentioned more action in the coming seasons. The writers were the guests last night. They also hinted that either Morgan, Merl or the Priest will make appearances next season.

I can't wait to see what Season 3 brings with them entroducing the prison, bringing in Michonne and they are also going to have the Governor as well. From where season 2 ended (inline with the books), season 3 looks to be a pretty good season with quite a bit of action, if it follows the books.

What were your thoughts on the season 2 finale and what season 3 might be like?

I thought that the cops in the show and even the locals would know about the prison well before this. They should also know somewhat about where they are. It's not like they were dropped off in an unknown location.

I bet season 3 gets much more interesting. More modern and more 'real life' feeling.

I look forward to every episode. One of the only shows I actually watch on tv.

I'm very interested in the new hooded character. Never read the books or anything, but read some reviews about this person having some walkers as slaves. It appeared so in the final episode. Just wondering how that would actually work. Is this person going to be another woman character?

I really like the show, they just leave so much room for questioning. Like all the walkers appear to be normal sized human beings and all in the same age group. Just a couple kids, and few very large or small people.

The helicopter also brings up a whole nother round of questions. This show could go on for years and years for how slow they reveal things. Then again, there is so much that already goes on in each episode....

I would suggest reading the books if you have the chance. The helicopter, the hooded character and the prison would all make sense then.

To answer your question about the hooded character. Yes, it is a woman but I won't reveal anything about the "slaves" that she has or who she is because I assume she will reveal that in the show. She's another major character to the series.

As for the prison, it is another major location in the books so I assume a major part in season 3. You also have to think that with Rick telling everybody they are infected and will turn into a zombie regardless of a bite, there might have been people living at the prison. But, if they died there, they are now zombies.

I could keep talking about it but it would be a major spoiler if you haven't read the books. The show follows somewhat close to the books but there are differences. That one thing I like about the show. If they followed the books exactly then it wouldn't be as interesting to me. But with them throwing in some new things and putting twists on the way things happened in the books, it's much more interesting.

you think they would have a GPS system . Points of Interest , PRISON or Castle or bunker, or get on a sail boat and go fishing and grow a little garden close to the shore. I would also think these zombies would rot apart after a couple months with flys eating them and maggots.

Yea they should know the area better they actually have not traveled that far. There are so many questions that are not answered.

I have never read the books/comic but since everyone is infected I believe it was the world leaders wanting to reduce the population of the earth to make it a better place for the best and the brightest that they have in a big underground bunker and after so many months all the zombies will rot out and basically turn into dirt and all the new people come to a world where everyone can live like us Americans in the world.

Great show...the season was slow, but last few episodes kicked butt.

Can't wait to see Michonne and the Governor next season.

Lori and Carol are starting to piss me off. They bitch too much

agreed. not a fan of Lori and Carol also, Carol just is kind of a bitch. i thought she was a goner in the show and was like thank god but nope. kind weird that shane is gone, kinda thought there would be a lot less going on, but i figured it was coming
