Well after going and picking up the wife's new Kia Sorento, we returned home. After an hour or so, the wife happened to notice a bit of water coming out from the bottom of the freezer door. Sure enough, after a little inspection and my memory that the milk I had with a snack didn't seem as cold as usual, we concluded that the fridge/freezer is shot and there will be an unexpected shopping trip in the morning. Grr...I think the beginning of this classic song says it all(thus the thread title)

Might be something as easy and cheap as a defrost timer

yea,mine did that last spring,thought the fridge was gone,then it just started working again,give it a day and see if it comes back.

Cleaning off the coils on the back may help also
