We've had the same experience with header trailers in traffic. Plus people don't understand the concept of needing two lanes to turn. Even more fun is combines in traffic, when you're in a 20 foot wide machine people let you have both lanes, no questions asked.

what is a header trailer? like cattle head ?

A header is the thing on the front of a combine that collects all of the corn, grain, beans, etc etc. The header trailer is just a trailer for the header, it is typically around 25 ft, hitch to back end.

Good explanation. The ones the outfits have that I work for summer and fall are either 25 or 30 feet long, and the trailers usually have a 5 foot tongue. I'm building one right now, it's a 30 foot deck with dual rear axles.

Everyone should get a chance to run a combine, they're incredible machines.

I've got you ALL Beat, I have Operated 9,000HP's worth of Diesel Locomotive WITHOUT an Engineer's License! (Don't worry, the Actual Engineer was right there to make sure I didn't screw up!)

lol those trains have plenty of torque! I'm not sure what it is on a combine, but the efficiency is amazing ~9 gallons an hour

Haha i hope that was sarcasim, imagine how much farmers would save(or any construction business) would save on fuel costs if the diesel engines were even 30% more efficient.

If wheat went for 30% more they'd make more money too. I consider the efficiency on the 9600's (I don't know the how brand new S series with DPFs are) pretty good, as the amount of crop that can be taken in per gallon is bigger than it used to be. With the grain cart rolling I think we take in ~1000-1400 bushels an hour per machine depending on the field and yield.

We've managed to take an off topic post off topic, good job guys
