I am looking to install a lift on my 2001 2500HD 6.0L, I have looked into the BDS 4" & 7". I was wondering if i would be wasting my time by installing the 4" kit and should go straight to the 6" kit? I do have a concern about one thing with these lift kits and that is the angle of the CV joints on the front axles, are they too much and will it prematurely blow out cv joints? I see in the install diagrams and pics that on the 4" its not as erratic as the 7". I do realize they're many people out there with these lifts and none have talked about this. Do i have anything to worry about?

Another question, I would like to put 18" rims and 33 and/or 35's tires what is proper offset & backspacing I should use so i dont not wear out wheel bearings?

Does anyone have pictures of either of these kits installed to the year truck of mine so i could see what it looks like?

You can go here and search the gallery for your year truck, height of lift to see some. http://www.trucktoyzperformance.com/realm/gallery.htm

As far as 4" or 6-7" you need to decide on how high you want to go, what are you using the truck for and will it fit everywhere you park.

I went with a 4 on my NNBS 1500 simply because I didn't want to climb in something higher on a daily basis and it fits in my garage.

Even though I only went 4" I am still happy and do not wish I went more like most said I would.
