So my wife has an 06 Cobalt SS non S/C loaded and we want to upgrade to something bigger more room etc. So I have been test driving cars new Chrysler 200, Mazda 3 Chevy Cruze turbo. All see good cars. Want to know what others thoughts are as a good car in this class. We did enjoy the Cruze turbo but just looking for others ideas. We live in Canada so pricing is different.

my mom has a cruze with a 1.8 and its manual, its really an awesome car to drive, definatley not like the crap cars GM produced back in the day.

i dont know if the sonic is too small for you, but it got really good reviews and is suppoed to be awesome to drive

I sat in the sonic and while its nice im 6 foot 2 and its cramped kinda inside. Might have to go look at the Cruze again. I test drove a Mazda 3 and yes let the hating begin. It was a very fun car to drive, very tight and is Zoom Zoom lol.

im 6'0 and i fit in the cruze pretty good, its no truck but the front seats go back really far and i dont feel too cramped.

its really all about prefrence, you have to go test drive some small cars you like, and see which one you prefer

We just test drove a 2011 Ford Fusion SEL v6 pretty loaded. They are trying to move these vehicles due to over stocked. The Car retails for 35 G plus and they are selling it for 22,000G anyone ever buy over stock vehicles? Brand new warranty starts when if we buy. It has been sitting less a year be a year in April. Any tips?

Just went to the autoshow the other day and looked at smaller rides. The wife and I liked the Hyundai Elantra. It had plenty of legroom up front and I'm 6'5.

I recommend trying out the Elantra too. Wife and I were in the same boat in the summer, and after test driving and comparing a few....we chose the Elantra, so far a great car. No complaints what so ever.

We have a 2011 Malibu LTZ and love it. It didnt have an option for anything other than the 4cyl, but so far I am happy with it overall. Looks good and gets great mileage. The rebates were really awesome on it as well. You should look into it.

how was the chrysler 200? did you test the v6? we're looking too- and since chrysler is giving 3,000 back here in the states the 200S is a only a couple hundred more than a cruze ltz...and you get a 283 hp v6 instead of a 138 hp turbo4...you do take the mpg hit though, but im still curious. online the 200 looks a little more upscale too.

havent sat in a sonic yet, but at 18 grand fully loaded (i know- canada is different, what about crossing the border and purchasing?) its tempting. and fully loaded really is fully loaded, plus a 6 speed and the same turbo 4 so it shouldnt be too boring to drive.

I was extremely unimpressed with the Avenger, which is the same thing. It had the 4 cyl so obviously it wasn't powerful but that wasn't my main gripe with the car. It just didn't drive good and the interior still isn't as good as what GM, Ford and obviously the imports can pull off.
