Cam for the front end?

Recommended Posts

I have a 2003 C1500 Silverado 4X4, stock suspension, with an alignment problem.

I took it to the shop and they said I needed to replace the "cam adjustment" on each side to correct the camber problem (tires wear on the inside). I've never heard of an adjustment for camber involving some type of "cam" part that had to be put in before the adjustment can be made. I'm I being taken for a ride?

Thanks,

Tom

it's an alignment cam... the one you have could be seized in place, or the ears could be broken off not allowing proper alignment, however im willing to bet your ball joints, wheel hubs, tie rod ends, or pitman/idler arms could have play/be worn out. i'd check those or have a reputable shop check them first.
