zach1990
got a 2 inch rc level on my truck and got a big problem. my shocks no longer fit my truck and the best the local store can do is order me some rancho 4 inch lift shocks. now my question is will these work or is it gonna cause problems? i have the torsion keys cranked to about 2.5 inches if that helps any
Silverado4x4
Whos is telling you that the shocks dont fit? If its the shop then there trying to sell you shocks and rip you off. A leveling kit just brings your suspension down but doesnt change where the suspension hits the lower bump stop so longer shocks are not needed. So bottom line is that your suspension travel has not changed with a leveling kit just the downward travel is closer to the bottom bump stop. Your suspension will bottom out before the shocks will up or down. The only time you need longer shocks is when you go to a full suspension lift. LURCH HD
If you put after market keys on your truck you will need shock extensions or longer shocks. I done my 02 which is the same as 99 to 06. I do have a set of new Fat Bobs Garage shock extension's that I would make you a killer deal on. If you are interested please let me know. Thanks LURCH!!!!!!
zach1990
yeah i tried to raise it a little higher in the front to give it some lean since i hardly ever tow but seeing as it looks worse than i thought it would and like you said the joints are so bad they pop and creak going down the road. fixing to lower the front in a few minutes and make it perfectly level. ill try to post pics up later
Silverado4x4
If there popping and creaking now you may have done the damage.
