Im looking to finally purchase my lift kit after months and months of research and this and that. Anyway Hopefully monday i'll hear back from zone about if they'll send me some extra mounts for my truck since I have a RCLB, anyway I already have a Skyjacker 2in leveling kit and im going to put a 1.5in body lift on top of it. I want to run a 33x12.50 Dick Cepek Mud Country on a 17x9 DC-2. I know the 33 will fit, but im concerned about the 12.5 section width. I can do with out and go with a 285/70/17 good year MTR but I really perfer the look of a wider tire. I dont mind if i have to cut plastic, or even bend a bit of metal out of the way, just dont wanna have to do any major surgery.

With those wheels, Ive known people to have to cut with a 3" BL installed and only running a 285. You may find yourself doing some major cutting if you only plan on running a 1.5". The 900 series of trucks just dont accomidate a very large or wide tire very well.

Ive got an 800 series pickup and Im also running a 3" BL, and Im concerned about having to trim with a 33x12.50, even though the 800s were known for allowing a slightly larger tire.

Ok thats kinda what i figured, really dissappointed but hey it is what it is. A friend of mine has those wheels with a 285/70 on his 96 tahoe soon he will be rotating and we are gonna throw em on and see whats what. Im hoping I can at least work with a 285 on the DC-2 because I really dont wanna keep stock wheels and I havnt seen any other wheel that I like. Also dont wanna step up to 18s because I think the tire prices are just outrageous at that point. Im thinking with the DC-2 I'll have to trim the inner fender and most likely the metal tab at the back. If anyone has done the trimming of the metal tab and could maybe get some pictures so I know what im going to be doing that would be great. If not i'm pretty sure I can figure it out.

Yeah, he is its a 17x9 otherwise I wouldnt be considering it. However I've been rethinking anyway, Im looking at a XD wheel, the 93r I think, and it has a +18 offset which from what i've read on here will fit a little better, still have to trim but not quite as much
