Body lifts and regular cabs...

Recommended Posts

So this has been puzzling me for quite awhile, I was considering a suspension lift, but after weighing the costs of everything else i want to to, I've decided on maybe doing a body lift. The only issue is that i was looking at zone's web site and they say that the 3 in body lift kit will not fit a regular cab long bed. I cant really understand why this is. Are there extra mounts or something? Even that doesnt make sense to me though. This is also something that I noticed while looking at some suspension lifts. Anybody got any good info on this?

Thats what I was figuring on. However I did just read in a post on GMFS, that according to zone there are two extra spacers on the GMT 900 trucks. So maybe if I order through them I can have them throw in a coulpe extra spacers in the kit. by the way that was a damn good looking truck, always loved the baja claws!

i'd have to have my exhaust redone to come to think of it. Its currently exiting duals out the passenger side before rear tire. go another three inches up and it would look weird i think. Of course I have it routed underneath the frame so i cant just shorten the hangers up. ugh thats dissappointing. I could just dump it, even though I dont like that, but if I do then the SI/DO magnaflow i bought is kinda pointless, plus I welded everything together so...hmm I got some thinking to do huh...
