well, on the 19th in the morning, was going to my School and the Engine in the Plymouth decided it did not want to work anymore. the Bottom End is Seized Solid, and is awaiting plans. on Sunday, me and my dad went in the Win and Awesome to look at cars. Only ONE Dealer was open, and was the Local Nissan Dealer. Picked up a Summit White 2010 Aveo LT with a Whopping 38,000 Miles! it might be a bit smaller than the Plymouth, but at least the 1.6L Ecotec WORKS. Pictures will come soon.

I guess it led a good life. You said before it had a ton of miles right? I'm in Minnesota this week and there's a Dodge dealer that still has Plymouth on the sign. I thought that was weird.

I will probably NEVER Forget the Final Mileage: 226,262. and there are parallels between the Plymouth and the Aveo: a couple of days ago, I got the GMVIS from Alexander Chevy-Buick-GMC, and the Build date on the Aveo is 12/23/2009. the Build date on the Plymouth is 12/17/1997. the aveo was an Enterprise car, and the Plymouth was a dealer loaner!

Did that Plymouth have the 2.4 DOHC Mitsubishi motor? If so, I'd say you got waaaaay more that your money's worth out of it!

Nope, it had the 2.0L Neon Motor (which means Neons are MORE Then Fair Game when choosing a replacement Engine!)

My last work car was a '95 Grand Prix. I sold it over a year ago with 268,000 miles on the 3.1l engine and 4T60E transmission. The kid that bought it off me had to put it to rest in the junkyard after he got broadsided in it last week, it had 299,890 on it. He was mad because it used 0 oil and got 27 mpg mixed city/highway driving. Best $500 car he ever owned, or so he told me.

DAMN, only 210 Miles and he Would have Joined a VERY Exclusive Club that's usually Dominated by the Japanese! let's make a game of this: list the Highest mileage you have EVER Gotten out of a Vehicle before you had to either dump it, or escort it to the Junkyard!

~190,000 on a '72 Gran Torino station wagon 351C/FMX all original before I sold it to a woman at work who turned her foster kids loose on it for 8 years before they totaled it. Mileage at time of said demise is unknown.

Had a regular customer at the dealership that had a '98 Tahoe with 473k on it. Motor was starting to smoke some oil when he had his driver's licence pulled due to his health. Trans and rear axle were done once by our dealership. He had all of his maintence done there as well. He was in the line over at our quick lube across the street from the main shop once ever 2-3 weeks getting his oil changed at 3,000 miles. He never missed it.

The Grand Prix in my previous post was my own personal best.

My '90 C2500 RCLB had 250k plus on it when I sold it. Friend of mine kept it for a year after that before selling it as well, still running on the original engine, second trans.

Had a '90 Z24 Cavalier with 187k on it when I sold it. All original powertrain as well but on it's second clutch (5spd). That was a fun little car.

My '98 K1500 ECSB that I was driving until picked up my '11 back last May had 198k on it, all original powertrain except for the torque converter and it still lives.

What can I say, I get attached. LOL.

236,000 milles on a 70 Pontiac GP 400 when during a WOT run at -5F, the coil shorted and apparently the misfire broke a piston. Put a 99,000 mile engine out of another one in it and drove it to 276,000 when I decided the frame was too rusty. I bought this car from a buddy who bought it out of a junkyard for $150 with 130,000 on it. So I got 17 years out of it. Not bad.
