Anyone running the 4" Ready lift SST kit ?

Recommended Posts

Ive been looking at this kit and it seems pretty straight forward and basic and easily taken off to go back to factory ride if I trade it in . No cutting , welding ect... which is what I'm looking for .

Whats your thoughts

i see you have the daystar 2" leveling kit.. so is 1000 dollars worth two more inches?, you could do a 1.5" body lift for far far far less and be at roughly the same stance and still be able to return to stock if you wantedand if youre one of the people who say "im not a fan of body lifts" i can assure you you would not notice any gaps or anything

Agreed. I don't care for the RL kit anyway. It's a bad design and it's waaaay over priced.

Thanks for the heads up on the RL kit.

No I don't like BL's ...lol but it is a good cheap way to get a better stance. A 1.5 bl would be perfect height , BUT I have a sprayed in bedliner and would have to cut the bolts out of the liner , put the 1.5 blocks in and have it retouched/sprayed up which will be an expense too.

I also heard that 1.5 its do NOT have relaxation brackets for the bumpers and some cutting may need to be done.

I just want to do things right and not have it look cheezy.

You could also get the Rough Country 1.25" body lift. It comes with all relocation brackets. You won't touch the bed liner because the bed bolts thread up from the bottom, no touch up required.

Why would you have to cut the bolts out of the spray-in liner? Did you get the underbody sprayed too? The body mounts don't go through the bed like they used to. They use a cage nut design that is hidden in the sheet metal braces under the bed. I installed the zone 1.5 body lift on my 07 and thought that it was a nice kit. If you get the rear bumper brkts or HD bumper pads you can hardly tell it has a body lift.
