Can Rough County 2" leveling front spacer be used with the Rancho

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys, I did a search on here but found nothing so far; has anyone tried using the Rancho Quicklift loaded with a rough country 2" front spacer to give you about 3.77-4" of lift in the front? Is this even safe to do? What other things would have to be changed in order to do something like this i.e. 4 or 5" rear block?

I currently have a 3" rear block and the rough country 2" leveling kit in the front, but it seams like my truck has settled or maybe I am getting used to it and want more lift!!!

I wouldn't advice stacking the 2 together. You'll be extending your front suspension further than intended and causing all kinds of other issues with CV angles, ball joints and tie rod ends. If you want more, the next cheapest way of doing it would be a body lift.

If you go much over 2 inches in the front without a proper lift your asking for trouble with the front end. Level it and save for a good lift. My next project for mine is a 3" body lift while i slowly save for a good lift kit.

^^ This. Also, I doubt your truck has settled. I wondered the same thing about mine...measured it...same as before. I think it's normal to just get used to it after a little while. Park it next to a stocker, and you'll get that warm & fuzzy feeling back, haha.

I was wondering about putting a 1/4" spacer in with the R C 2" leveling spacer to get a full 2 1/2" lift on the front end. I measured my R C spacer and it is 1.040 thick I figured if that gives me 2" of lift then the 1/4 spacer should give me another 1/2. Anybody tried this little shim trick?

Are you talking about stacking them together? I think the Rough Country instructions say to not stack with other spacers, but if you are talking about adding a shim above the strut than maybe since that is the ready lift approach?

I was thinking of adding maybe a 1/8" spacer to the bottom along with the 1.040" R C spacer. I just want it to set level. About all I ever haul in the back is a case of Bud long neck bottles. So I don't really have to worry about the front being to high.
