2011 Silverado 1500Lt 4" Lift Kit

Recommended Posts

I am looking into lifting my 2011 silverado 4" so I can run 33x12.5 tires. I have seen three different kinds of lifts.

There is the rancho 4" Lift. It looks like the best quality and I like the fact that the subframe and a few other components are powdercoated red. It would look nice on my red truck. Need to file existing subframe and drill tranny crossmember. 1500$)+ shocks

Then there is the ready lift kit that takes advantages of stock components but does not seem to have the quality of the rancho lift. Direct Bolt On1000$

There is also a tuff country lift. Never heard of them but seems to be a decent lift kit. 1550$ with shocks

They all claim to keep factory ride quality. I think that the lifts that utilize the subframe would be better than the lifts with huge spacers and control arms....But what I think doesnt mean anything especially since I have zero experience with IFS lifts. I personally like the rancho. Just kind of curious to what other peoples opinions, thoughts, or experiences were.

Also looking at MBRP SS dual cat back exhaust and and K&N cold air intake. With a 4" lift, 33x12.5 tires, and these accessories what should I expect out of gas mileage? I know one guy on here said 2 to 4 mpg drop but I am not even sure what my mpg is yet. Just broke 500 miles. I dont drive like an old lady but I dont floor it every time I take off either. I would say im a normal driver.

Thanks For any Replies!

I have the 4" BDS kit on my 2009 crew cab and I am very pleased. I also like the Rancho kit. I believe there is also a CST 4" kit and I may be mistaken but I think it keeps the factory track width.

Overall I am pleased with my lift. If I wanted to go to 6" in the future its something that I can do with a few replacement parts from BDS. The Rancho kit measures a bit closer to a 6" kit so look carefully at the pictures to see if thats what you want. I have used Rancho products in the past and always liked them. I thought about it for this truck but tried the BDS instead.

You can' t go wrong with Rancho, BDS, or CST. You are correct in your assumption about the Ready Lift kit though. It's a glorified leveling kit that rides rough and doesn't properly correct front end angles. IMO go with Rancho for some added height and less rubbing.

There is a 4" CST and it does keep the factory track width. I have it super kit, but probably the most expensive 4" out there
