Leveling Kit (block) install problem

Recommended Posts

Today I got around to installing my Zone Offroad 2" leveling kit. I ordered their 2" lift package which also came with a 2" block for the rear. Front install was very easy and took it for a test drive once it was all completed. Everything drove perfectly. Went for about a 5 mile drive around the block.

Next, I went to the rear and installed the 2" blocks. Again, everything was straight forward and easy to do. I get in my truck to take it for another test drive and now I get about 100 yards out of my driveway and I have "service traction control" "service stabilitrak" flashing back and forth. And my steering wheel is crooked when I'm driving straight. Does anyone know what would cause this from just changing out the rear block to a 2"??? Is there an easy fix or should I just throw the factory blocks back in?

get 4 wheel alignment it should take care of the problems, the warnings are on because the wheels are not straight, they could be rotating at diff rpm or have to much drag on them and will cause this, also the back ones can affect the steering wheel in sense you have to have it turned to go straight down the road since the back wheels are so far off but align the wheels and the warnings should go away if not pull the codes.

Figured it out......I went back and took another look at the rear blocks. Found out that the little pin wasn't lined up on the passenger side and it actually fell into the empty space of the block. Therefore the block was about half inch too far forward and the rear axle was crooked. Anyhow. I dropped the axle down again and lined up the block and everything is good to go! Something must have shifted the first time around and moved when I wasn't paying attention. Anyhow, all is good and I def suggest the Zone Offroad 2" lift to anyone looking for a nice levling kit. Pics will follow......

I love the way it looks. I now am sitting at 39 1'3" up front and 40 inches in the rear. Perfect amount of rake. Was exactly what I wanted! Can't wait to get my new tires put on Monday!

Looks cool, what tires are you looking at?

I'm having Nitto Terra Grapplers 285/65-18 installed tomorrow morning.

Did you stack the 2" block on top of the factory 1.25" block like the directions say or did you pull the factory block and just use the 2" zone block for 3/4" of lift in the rear? Just curious because it looks great whatever you did!

I removed the factory block and used only the new Zone 2" block. It was a great little kit for $130. I'm very happy with how it turned out.
