I used some of the extra gutter guard I had (from when I made those little inserts for the bumper openings of my truck) to make a grille for my 4 wheeler.  It's just zip tied on, so it's nothing heavy duty but stops a little bit of junk from going through.  I'll be taking it off though when my winch comes in and I get it installed.  I may make some for the openings on the sides of the 4 wheeler bumper though.

Looks like a nice idea Tom. :thumb: I noticed your trailer in the background-is it new too?

BTW-what kind of winch are you getting?  My wife bought my Warn A2000 for my birthday last year.  I put it on myself-it was about a 2 hr job.  Took longer to run all the wiring than it did to actually put it on but I've gotten my $$ worth out of it.

Thanks Ron.

Yes, the trailer is new too.  I bought it the same day I got the 4 wheeler.  Here's a better picture of it.

I'm getting an A2000 also.  I'll get it for $69.99 + tax, whenever it comes in.  It's on back order according to the dealer.  That price was part of one of Suzuki's promotions that was going on.  I think they extended it until 31 Dec.  I don't know that I'll be using it often, but for $70, I couldn't pass it up, plus it might come in handy with mine being a 2wd too.

I may be asking you some questions about the install when the time comes.  I still need to get the mounting plate too.  How many wires are there to hook up?  I know it comes with a rotary switch, but I may get the handle bar mounted rocker switch sometime in the future just for the heck of it.

I'm taking mine and J.T.'s 4 wheelers home to WV when we go in for Christmas so we can do a little riding back there.  :thumb:

Looks cool. I usually have to put something solid in most of the openings on mine in the winter. If I dont snow packs in all my duct work and around the oil cooler, but dont guess you have that problem down there.

LOL, no not really.

Oh, forgot to mention I have a Superwinch, the wiring is the hardest part for sure. Plus with all that vibration and movement of parts on an ATV I made sure all my wires were out of the way and in that black plastic stuff. I have done too many inspections on mine to find that factory cables have been rubbing stuff and wore them down quite a bit, so I didnt want to take any chances on my winch wires. There arent that many, I think 4 plug into my rocker switch. The mounting brackets and stuff are easy to install on newer ATVs most come designed with large openings in the front where the older ones didnt as much. I had to modify my mounting stuff when I got different tires because when the wheels were turned and the struts compressed I would rub the winch.

Tom-I bought the mounting kit from Cabela's.   It had the mount plate and roller fairlead and all the bolts.  Dang I don't remember how many wires, but it will come with a solenoid so you wire separately from battery to solenoid to controller to the winch so they added up.  You have to find a protected spot to mount the solenoid so it will stay fairly dry but I've had the winch submerged several times and it works great.

Let me know if you need help-I don't know how Suzukis are set up electrically but I do what I can.

I'm going to email you a photo of my winch to post here if you can.  My photo site is d/c'ed and I can't upload new photos.

Sure, go ahead and sent it.

I havn't seen any mounting plates for the Ozark anywhere except from Suzuki.  It's $50 - $55, if I remember correctly.
