Thank you I love it. It's got ebony leather bucket seat, remote start, and all the nice little dodads. The only thing I don't like is that big ol chrome bumper wish it was black like yours. But it will be gone when I can afford it. One day I'll have it jacked and lookin right with one of those big ditch or death bumpers

My dads got Hammer Head bumpers front and back on his 2007 classic 2500hd and they look nice. That LBZ is a beast!

I myself wasn't a big fan of the all chrome grill so I now have a painted grill with only chrome mesh in it, GM accessory grill. Was around $300.00 but easy to install and looks great. I am pretty sure I have a pic in my photo album. In my mod album but you can also see it in my Avatar

Wasn't impressed with mine. Took it back off and sold it.

What was it that didn't impress you?

All it did was make noise. Maybe .5 mpg increase but I "felt" no real performance increase with a stock tune. If the noise wasn't so bad (even though I knew it would be loud but wanted to try it anyway) I probably would've kept it.

  • 2 weeks later...

It has been awhile since I have posted on here, I made another change on mine by running true duel exhaust and removed the 3rd cat, ran both pipes thru H- pipe into 2 Magnaflows. Sounds unreal and big increase in low end torque.

Has anyone else done this and been happy with their results?

Well, I am thinking of trading my 6.2. I love the engine. It is the funnest truck to drive, but I just can't justify the gas mileage and premium gas anymore since I sold the big boat. I love the body style so I may just look for a 2013 GMC.

Other than the cost of the premium, do you really think you will get better gas mileage? How much is it going to cost you to trade for another truck?

Yeah, do the math. For what you're probably going to lose on selling it, you're not going to make up with cheap fuel and marginally better fuel economy. I get within 15% of a 5.3 for fuel economy, on average (pulling or not) and premium fuel cost me less than $300 a year more than regular fuel due to it being less than only 10% cheaper than premium around here. Not worth it IMO.

I might give one of the new 5.3's a try when I step up to a K2XX but that all depends on if they are even around in 2-3 years when I'm ready for one.

:nopity: Get a prius if your worried about gas mileage. I wouldn't give a s**t if my 6.2 got 8 miles to the gallon. Price of style and power. I got that in my old Z and would still be driving it if I didn't flip it. Had 38's and built engine loved every minute of it

Well, we out pencil to paper and it isn't going to happen. Will keep the 6.2. Just isn't worth the cost to buy another one.

Not that I am disappointed.... This thing is fun to drive.

Look into buying a beater for gas savings. You will have to off set some of the saving in the additional insurance cost but it will keep the mileage down on your truck. My 2010 only has 16K on it and is still like a brand new truck to me
