hey,

i have an 03 sierra 2500HD and have been putting heavy loads and notice the box drops a inch or so.

what do you guys think is better getting a set of supersprings or going the add a leaf route.

SS looks like you can preload them and get from 1-3 inch lift, so if i have heavy load that drops 1-2 inches that might put me back to stock., also SS on engage when loaded . if I were to add a leaf should i only add 1 or could i add 2.

to me it seems like supersprings might be the better way to go, just wanted to know if its worth paying more for the SS than getting a leaf put in

I did one of the over leaf spring assist's, They clamp on to leaf spring. (you can get them at autozone or advanced) I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked. The unloaded ride improved tremendously with alot less sway and that is unloaded and loaded, and I havent hit my bump stops since I put it on and hauled a couple of heavy loads. I was surprised because they were cheap and typically you get what you pay for

I've got the light duty SS on my truck. I like them pretty good. They keep the truck pretty level. But if I had a 2500 get the heavy duty ones for sure. Using the upper bolt holes for more preload may slightly stiffen the ride. But probably keep the truck pretty level too.
