Rims - corrosion, wear?

Wondering if someone can lemme know what the deal is with my wheels - 2002 Silverado, original factory aluminum rims. Images below.

Not sure if it's corrosion, wear, dirt & grime build-up, or if they're shot and need replacing... never had a set of aluminum wheels for 9 years :)

Let it be said that I spend almost no time on cleaning my truck, just an occasional stop at the car wash, and I've never applied any sort of cleaner or polish to them.

Anyone more knowledgeable then I care to fill me in on what I've neglected to do, how I can clean them up, or if I need to be considering replacing.....? Thanks in advance.

Left front wheel seems to be the worst (wheels wet from car wash):

Definitely looks like you have some grime build up, also some other funk that I can't easily identify. I would start with a good cleaning, make sure you use something that's safe on aluminum. Then see what's left over. Need to determine if your wheels are "pitted" with whatever all that is. If they are pitted, they won't ever be "clean" again as the grime has gouged the metal itself.
