Intercooled Magnacharger system

Magnacharger will soon be releasing their new intercooled kit for the 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0 engines. This system will include the supercharger, new intake manifold with intercooler, fuel rails, larger injectors, computer programming, and a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. Full color step by step instructions will also be provided. The advertised horsepower gain will be in the 130-140hp range but recent magazine testing has show a 163hp gain on a 4.8 motor. This kit comes with a silver powdercoated finish but polished is available. Magnecharger has a release date in 30-45 days (just after the 1st of the year). Contact us for pricing!

Tom, is this package based off the new supercharger used in the Lingenfeilter (sp) supercharged C5 Corvettes?

The ability to get an intercooler will make this a serious Whipple contender.

This kit is set up similar to the LPE C5 kit. Actually, I believe the kit that they use is the Magnacharger. An 8.1 version _may_ be available in the future.

The February 2003 issue of Sport Truck has an installation of the new magna-charger with intercooler and all those other cool doo-dads. Looks like they put it on a 99 or 00 5.3 with a base of 237 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. After the install, they dyno'd it and saw a gain of 132 hp and 126 lb-ft of torque. The kit also comes with a K&N drop-in filter but if you have the FIPK, it looks like you will still be able to use that set-up but with a new air-tube they give you.

If I ever get the money, I am definitely getting this done......this thing is f-ing schweet!

They also offer a system that is fully polished for the complete hot-rod look.

Thought I'd let everyone know, so go to your nearest newstand and buy a copy of the new Sport Truck. There is tons of GM related stuff in this issue (plus on the last page there is a hot pin-up babe :thumb: )
