Comprehensive Vin Decoder - Comp Nine

Recommended Posts

I have been using Comp Nine to search RPO codes for S10 trucks to see if the rig has all the options i wanted before calling on the rig. Well they are now going away. Does anyone else know where i can review VIN and get the rpo codes the vehicle came with?

Looking at GM Chevrolet S10 2000-2003.

Thanks.

These types of announcements don't come easy, but effective immediately Comp Nine will be closing its doors permanently.

Thank you to everyone that helped keep the site going and for allowing Comp Nine to serve the community for so many years.

Nice site. I do not find what i am looking for unless i missed it.

Looking to put a vehilce vin to see what the vehicle was built with. That way i can see the options on vehicle before calling on it to discuss.

Comp Nine you put in vehicle VIN and it pulled up all the RPO codes to see what that vehicle was built with.

So any ideas where to look for this?

thanks.

I too used this site to look up VIN's and RPO codes. Very useful, sucks that its shutdown. If anybody finds another site similar, please let us know!

I spent some time looking for a place to input VIN after the Comp Nine-site vanish'd. I found http://www.decodethis.com/

It didn't give me ALL the info I was looking for, but it is the only one I found.

Hope it helps..

Have you tried a willing dealer? You could have the service or parts department run you a VIS report, or you can have parts run the vin in their catalog and they can view an RPO breakdown themselves.

If someone can point me in the right direction to find the back-end data for decoding vins, Josh and I will gladly foot the bill to design a new VIN decoder and host it here at GM-Trucks.com. Please PM me if you can help.

Compnine is back up. You are limited on how many vin's you run a day
