Gm Answer To Dodge Powerwagon

completely agree. i have seriously considered a power wagon-but they dont make it in a long bed. i cant fit my quad in it and i like the long bed. if they had an ext cab long bed with the PW it would be really hard not to change sides.

and ive seen a few raptors around here, power wagons too.

The way I see it, GM and Chrysler should not produce anything they will not make money on until they pay back John Q Taxpayer for the bailout. If Ford wants to build the Raptor and sell them in the real world at a loss, so be it as long as they don't need a bail-out.

This is why Honda and Toyota have made "boring" vehicles for years, they know what the vast majority of the population wants to spend their money on.

gm has paid everything back. all thats left is for the govt to sell their stock (which isnt gm's call). as for the stock price thats not gm's fault. they had an 8 billion dollar profit last quarter and the stock price didnt budge.

Ford doesn't sell the Raptor at a loss, they control production of it and profit handsomely from it. GM/Chrysler could and does do the same. If GM made one, it'd be the same $45k+ truck that everyone would love to have but it would be out of the price range most of us could afford. And as much as I do hate wasteful spending, I have to roll my eyes at people who balk at the govt. spending "their" money-

Guess what? It isn't your money, it belongs to the government. It's the price you pay to live and work in America. Being pissed at the government (or in turn, the automakers) for spending in a way you don't like would be like me buying a TV from Best Buy and then being pissed at what they did with "my" money.
