Your truck looks great but WOW that engine compartment looks brand new!

I detail on the side, so I'm always cleaning the engine bay.

what tip is that? and you are very lucky to have th floor shifter, i wish mine had one

Its a 4 inch double rolled that came with my blastin bobs 3inch super 44 setup. If you look in the pics you can see rust. It just started doing that, so now I'm in the market for new exhaust. I looked yesterday when I saw it in the pics, and its rusting from the inside out. The set up on there is only steel, and not stainless, so with the salt/winters here its trashed already after a year of use. You dont like the 4x4 knob? I think I would like it better, than having to do it manually.

Holy crap, they offer a manual shift 4WD? Way cool, The knob is great but I can always remember dad throwing the old plow truck into 4X4 and waiting for the front wheels to light up on the floor. I'd love to have a manual 4x4 shifter for nostalgic reasons.

Looks good! I don't bother with mine anymore since the paints garbage anyhow, and chips off like its glued on with Elmers. Those tires are pretty meaty too.

Really I got maybe one or two very small chips when I got the truck a year ago, only after I put the tires on. Then I put the mudflaps on, even going hunting down gravel roads I have yet to get another knick yet with the bigger tires. Before that I didnt get a thing. Having had a few subaru's I can tell you our paint is a far cry from garbage.

I believe the LS, and WT have the manual. The LT, and above have the knob on the dash.

Truck looks excellent. Exactly how I want to have mine set up. Great stance, nice tires and wheels. Seeing your truck has changed my mind about those style of steps. They look great.

Thanks! :D

Looks nice. I want my engine bay that clean, but am paranoid about screwing something up. What are some tips on doing it right?

Jump on the adams forum(www.adamsforums.com), theyre a sponser on the site, and everyones real helpful over there with any questions you may have. Junkman is a mod on the site too. Real helpful vids to get you started. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6iAITQDSHM

Looks great. What do you use on the engine compartment to clean it with?

If its real bad I hit it with some all purpose detail spray, and then agitate it with a soft wheel brush to work it in. Then hose it off, and dry it best I can. Then treat it with some detail stuff to protect it.

Looks brand new! Where did you get your bowtie?

I popped off the stock one, and shot it with a rust-oleum bed liner spray can. Gave it 4-5 coats. Held up great thus far. I used the same thing on the Rhino-II silver step plates as well. Been prob 6-8 mths so far, and looks like new. If it ever get too bad I can always just start over.

If you ever get fed up with painting I bought a powdercoated metal bowtie off ebay for around $40. I could probably find the seller too if need be.
