My New Truck!

Great looking truck.. Congrats :dunno:

What plans do you have for it if any?

As we speak, it's getting a sprayed-in bedliner (linex) and Chevrolet Step-Rails (part of the deal I negotiated).

And I have a BAK F1 folding bed cover on order that should be in Monday along with an AMP Bed Extender. Then I plan to put some Wet Okole seat covers on (cloth seats, couldn't afford the leather) and rig up an inverter for the bed and the cab.

That's about all right now.

I've had my 07 (NBS) crew cab for about a month now and you're right... its a big truck! I've actually gotten use to it now and cant stand riding or driving smaller vehicles. They feel so small and cramped and Im not a big guy!

Congrats on the new purchase!

One of my favorite things I've done to my truck so far was a leveling kit. Its a cheap and highly suggested upgrade (IMO)

Nice I just got a 2007 Crew Cab here 2 weeks ago and im getting used to it still. It is a big truck for sure.

Man! You're not kidding. I was driving a little Dodge Dakota to work. This thing feels like it's 10 feet wide and 50 feet long. I suppose I'll get used to it, but it's a big change.

What kind of leveling kit? Does it affect your load capacity?

BTW, pretty truck. Don't know that I've ever seen that color on one.

I put a 2.5" leveling kit on my truck. It was easy to install myself and the tire shop was able to align my truck back to factory specs without any problems. Stevens11 is correct that almost everyone on the forum likes the RC 2" leveling kit but I was hesitant about the material it was made out of so I opted to go with the 2.5" leveling kit from fatbobsgarage.com Their prices are great and their shipping was extremely FAST. My kit came with the top of the strut as well as the bottom spacer and it was around $109 ($9 shipping) For a little extra you can add the rear blocks but my truck sat so low in the front that I didn't need to change the blocks in the rear plus I installed some firestone air-rides in the rear so if it was sitting lower I could just put some air in it them (but I didn't because it sits level without the bags pumped up) Heres a link to the leveling kit I installed- http://fatbobsgarage.com/i-6765101-chevrol...2011-6-lug.html

And thanks for the compliment- the colors Desert brown metallic. People either love it or hate it... I love it

Good luck! You'll enjoy this forum, it's highly addicting!

Oh I see now. It doesn't lower the rear, it raises the front. That's why it doesn't hurt load capacity.

Thanks! May go for that.
