Quick Rancho 4" Nnbs Lift Question

Recommended Posts

Hey all-

I recently had a buddy of a buddy help me out in installing the Rancho 4" kit on my 2009 Silv 1500 4x4 CC. I had some rubbing sounds in parking lots after and finally took it into 4wheelparts to see what they thought since I had bought the kit from them. Their serivce techs told me the allignment was off causing some minor rubbing. They also told me that the sway bar stabilizers needed to straight up and down, accomplished by drilling the lower control arm. Using the factory holes, the sway bar stabilizers sit at about a 20 degree angle, pointing outward to the lower control arm hole. I went back over the instructions and saw nothing about drilling to make the stabilizers sit straight up and down, but it does make sense that it should be I suppose.

Anyone with a Rancho 4" lift on their nnbs 1500 able to tell me how their's looks like? Any experts able to tell me what I should do? Thanks so much, this forum rocks!

Some other kits say to drill new holes for the sway bar, however Rancho does not. I'm of the opinion that if they wanted holes, the instructions would specify.

FWIW, mine looks the same. I aligned it to factory specs, during a sharp turn I drag a bit of the outside edge of the outside tire.
