'03 Cab Air Filter Mystery

Has anyone actually seen the cab air filter on a 2003?  The owner's manual shows that it is the same part number as 2002, but the filter access panel is blanked on the 2003's.  I don't think they have it anymore.  Great, they probably got rid of this worthwhile feature so they could have that 'daul-zone' AC.  I hope GM soon figures out that gimmicks do not equal quality.  And, what's with that stupid oversized inside rear view mirror?  It looks like it out to have at least 4 map lights in it, but all it has is a redundant 'passenger side air bag on/off' light.  Guys, there allready is one of those on the dash, why do I need one on the mirror?

LOL.  I'd rather have the dual zone climate control than a cabin air filter!  For some reason, the G/F is always cold therefore resulting in me boiling when she cranks the heat up.  :puke:

When my filter gets clogged, I'll simply remove it and not replace it with a new one anyway.  Simply useless feature if you ask me.  What good does filtering the air so clean do when you have to get out of the vehicle eventually anyway.  :puke:

I thought I would dig around and try to find those filters.  Can't locate them, if they exist on the '03s. Sure would like to know.  I asked the parts guy and his computer parts diagram shows no filters, yet his computer keeps alerting him to a parts number.

No big deal for now, since this truck is new, but by next year it could be since hidden filters, if there, could be clogging.  Where I live, every pollen-polluting plant known to God and man exists.  Would love to have filtered air this time of year.
