Possible Body Lift

Recommended Posts

So I am debating a slight body lift (2" to 3") for my 2006 at some point, and have a silly question - - maybe...

How is the truck box attached to the frame - thru-bolts, studs, etc.?

I have a sprayed-on bed liner, so I can't see any bolts in the bed (my '86 had thru-bolts), and the before photos I have don't seem to show any. This would be great, since I would prefer not to cut into the liner to install longer bolts. From underneath, I see bolts into the support channels, but it's not clear how these get removed.

Also, what about the cab connections?

Like I said, maybe a silly question, but I thought I'd ask.

It sounds simple, but installing a BL kit is a good 6-8 hour job if not hurried. Not that its hard, its just crutial that you get all the stuff on correctly and good and tight. It is nice that you dont have to get in the bed or remove any of the interior pieces to remove the body mounting bolts.
