I saw this yesterday, and thought I better snap a pic. I looked at the sticker and this was all added by the dealer. Tires and wheels came from a local retailer. Looks pretty good, but I wish those rocker panel guards would be made to on the bottom. And take that molding off. Shesh!

Maybe they are just trying to irritate me into buying it. :D

I've always liked that yellow.

Yeah, either lose the moulding or the rocker panel trim.  Doesn't look too good with half the moulding and all the rocker trim.  ???

If it were me, and I had the money, I'd remove both, then add the chrome moulding that came on the '02 Sierra's, like Shotgun's truck, except in extended cab trim instead of crew cab trim.   :thumb:   Shotgun's Sierra

Actually, I'd like to do that to mine now, but I'm afraid the paint may be faded a little since it's over 3 years old.

Yeah, that's not too bad looking, but they need to lose the "crew cab" molding, and the "rocker panel" chrome too, then do like Tom said w/ the GMC.  Just too much chrome detail down low for me.

I've got the same issue on my '03 - took it to the body shop to have my repainted topper put on, and the first thing my body guy says is, "Boy is that molding ugly"!! I agree. :D

BTW, my bug flector is like that one - and honestly, I'm not sure it's any improvement.  What do you guys think?

I agree 100%, but what is it with those wheels and yellow trucks, my brother has those same wheels on his yellow ford ranger.  They look some what decent on that little truck but when you put them on a fullsize truck like that it takes alot of tire to fill those wheelwells.  I guess they look alright for only costing about $175 a piece.

I think that bug shield looks good on there.

You could alway remove the molding completely.  That really looks good too, but lose a little bit of protection against door dings.

Thanks Tom, I have mixed emotions about it, but from a protection standpoint, I hate to take the bug flector off.

Kinda the same problem w/ the door molding - I'm debating that now - take it off and take my chances w/ parking lot idiots or leave it on for more protection.

I really like the simplicity of the GMC 99-02 body side molding - gotta think more about that.  ???

Just wondering...but how much was the sticker on that truck if you recall hogger?

Joe

If I remember correctly. The sticker was 32k. They then added I think 4K for the apperance pkg.

However I do know the red tag in the windshield says $30,400.

I do know that it does not have Leather seats. As far as other factory options I didn't take the time to look. Had to get out of there before the "Buzzards" swooped in.
