2011 1500 Sierra Regear For 35's

Recommended Posts

I put a 6" Fabtech and 35's on my '11 Sierra and want to regear. Since I have the 6spd tranny, is 4.56 the ratio I want to go with to get it back near stock and be able to tow something? I am thinking Motive Performance gears front and rear and was quoted $1300 OTD at a local shop who has done many gear jobs. Any suggestions?

I haven't done gears but I would think that would be the best option. I think that there should also be a 3.73 option for the 5.3. I probably the exact match would be 4.1 or so, i dont have a rpm calculator but i would go with 4.56 to equal out the weight/aerodynamic difference of the lift. BTW, we are going to need to see a picture of it....moderators, shouldn't that be in the "modification" rule book, to add pics of mods?

The 3.73 with the 6 speed tranny is comparable to the 4.56 in the 4 speed up to 4th gear. The 4.10 gears would be comparable to 4.88 in the 4 speed. I'm still trying to post a table showing this information but it just won't let me do it!! :)

New to this site, but my 2011 GMC Sierra Z71 with the 3:42 seems to have a ton more torque than my 2006 4 spd and the 3:73's. I really want to lift and run 33's but with all the computers now the dealer has me worried about my warranty or the loss of if I do it.

My 11 has 3.08 stock so if I were to do 35's I would install 3.73's, which I happen to have lying around from my last truck that had a 4 speed. If I had 3.42's I'd probably consider 4.10's

if you are only gonna run 33's then don't regear

im currently running 33's and seriously considering going to 4:10 gears. i feel that would give a good balance of off-road and highway performance.

I have similar setup going on in Jan. and in feb. hopefully will be putting on yukon 4.10 gears. The rpm range will be about the same just a little bit higher. Right now at 2000 rpm I'm doing about 75-80 mph.
