Some might remember me posting a few (lol @ a few) pics of our new rescue (rescue 9) Well our district has got another new rescue (r-11) that just got finished being built over in Chehalis Wa

There are a couple (2) minor differences between our rescue and the new one besides the lettering (thats the very last thing to get done)

Lets see if anyone can pick up these 2 things that are different

(btw , I dont know why our training/ems officer likes fords so much .. .. wonder if he really isnt a she :jester: )

Another add-on there will be another unit coming sometime next year like these but with a smaller body on it and an f-550 4x4 chassis with the new 6.0 this one will be for station 15 rescue 15

Im not really a lover of Freightliners FL trucks.  I like the International 4700's and such.  Is EOne just about the biggest fire aparatus manufacturer??  Was on my way home from a friends tonight and stopped by to watch a whole mess of firefighters running excercises.  There was like 27 trucks from all over the place.  Few ambulances too.  They set fire inside a big concrete structure and then send teams into it and put the fire out.  Was pretty cool to watch!

It depends there are several out there just some of them Aerialscope , 4- Guys, ALF , Boise Mobile Equipment, Braun Northwest, Bronto Skylift , Central States , Crash Rescue Equipment servizes, Custom Fire Apparatus, Danko Emergency Equipment , Excellance, Emergency One (e-one), Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Firovac, General Safety, Hackney Emergency Vehicles, KME Fire Apparatus, Luverne Fire Apparatus, Marion Body Works, McCoy Miller, MedicMaster , Medtec, Metz Aerials USA, Mertz Fire Apparatus INC., Neel Fire Protection Apparatus Inc., Oshkosh, Pierce, PL Custom Emergency Vehicles, Precision Equipment , Quality Maufacturing, S&S Fire Apparatus , Seagrave Fire Apparatus , Saulsbury Fire Rescue , Smeal Fire Apparatus, Superior Fire Apparatus,  Sutphen , U.S. Tanker, Wheeled Coach , W.S. Darley Inc. , Leader Emergency Vehicles ..... there are more but thats all I can think of right off the top of my head :jester:

I think they are the biggest (e-one) . they are owned by federal signal corporation i think which also has 2 other apparatus manufactures superior from canada and saulsbury from the northeast

hard to tell a saulsbury or superior rig from an e-one unless you get up close enough to see the name on it

BTW e-one is out of ocala florida

K1500,

I figured there were a few other rig makers but I didnt know who they were.  There was only a few trucks that I could distinguish what kind of engine they had in them.  Most sounded like Detroit 60's.  Do you guys have any ambulances that have been fitted by Collins??
