Restore Engine Treatment

Recommended Posts

Just curious if anyone has run Restore engine treatment in any of there rides? I have run it a few times in my '89. It has over 250,000 miles and still runs strong. I never had a chance to check the before/after compression to see if it really does what they say.

I actually used this on an old beater mazda.  It was actually my girlfriends.  Anyhow, the thing was a smoker and had little compression.  I figured what the heII and tried it.  It actually helped with both problems, smoke and compression.  That thing ran much better for another 10,000 miles before she dumped it.

I'm not sure I'd rush out to put it into my Tahoe, but in the right situation it definitely works.  Beats replacing the motor.

A friend of mine had an old 72 bronco with the 302. He parked it on a hil in front of Advance auto one day and when he came out of the store it was parked against the building. It slowly walked down to the building cause the compression was shot. He put a can of restore in it, ran it for 500 miles and went back to the store for something, this time the bronco stayed put. He said he noticed a difference.

Personally, I wouldn't use it unless I was desperate and was going to rebuild in a few months and needed to get by. It is a short term fix, if a fix at all.
