How Much To Install A Suspension Lift?

Recommended Posts

hey guys,

I started calling around today for labor rates on a 6" fabtech suspension lift. What is a fair price on the install of the 6" lift only? Thanks,

I get $750-$1000 and up, for any complete ifs suspension lift install depending on what/if any lift accessories have to also be installed (read: traction bars, multi-shock brackets, brake system modifications, etc). I am very well trained, have all the tools and am very, very picky about my work quality. I've seen the kits installed for less than what I charge. They usually bring them to me when things start breaking or falling off because of mis-torqued and missing bolts or incorrectly modified factory pieces. Then, it's $75/hour until its fixed and don't worry, I could have plenty of

work doing this stuff, if I didn't want a life outside of the shop.

I personally wouldn't let 4 wheel Parts touch my truck. This is based on aprevious experience with them. Your choice though. There was another member who had them crank his keys on his HD and was not impressed with them either. This isn't meant to be a rant or any other negative comment, only to give you my opinion based on a true experience.

You go to any of the big name places youre gonna get shitty work and pay way too much..

Do you know anyone else with lifted trucks? Theres gotta be some local shop somewhere that would love to do it for $500. They will probably do just as good of a job as if u pay $1200. Find a local off-roading club, or find some dudes with jacked up trucks and ask them where to go. Someone will be able to help ya.

I'm in valdosta Ga. That's right, the middle of no where. I am an hour and a half from Tallahassee and 2 hours from Jacksonville. I just talked to a guy in tally at a shop called Off road innovations and they quoted my 775 for the lift installed, tires mounted and aligned. Sounds like they know there stuff..........

Going to make some more phone calls, but I am NOT going to 4wheel parts.

$775 is OK but not a great price.. You can count on a dollar an inch for the mounting.. so 20's cost $80 bucks, and then an alignment is probably another $80 bucks so thats about $615 for the lift install.
