Installed A Body Lift....

Recommended Posts

after installing my 1.25" RC body lift im having troubles getting my front bumper to align correctly. it sits about 3/8" lower than it did before, and you can see the rivets that are normally hidden by the bumper cover. im 99% sure that there was nothing in the way and that all the "clips" for the bumper were in the slots.

I cut a 2x4 just wide enough to fit inbetween the two bumper mounts, and jacked them up. i got the rear of the bumper up where it should be, but the front is still too low, and it will not go up any further.

Does anyone know where i can find a procedure on how to adjust this? so far i have about 2 1/2+ hours into this and its getting a little annoying. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Travis that sucks that you are having trouble with the final adjustment. I think it will be very hard for anyone to help without being there to see what is going on. My suggestion is to take a deep breath, and take your time. Maybe call RC and see if they have any suggestions. Good luck man and keep us posted.

im confused... the front bracket is bolt on, could you have put it on upside down or in the wrong holes? mine bolted right on i had more problems iwth the rear than the front... i still have to go back and trim some more metal down on the rear where its interfering

i messed with it some more, and no i dont have the mounts backwards. it just sits about 3/8" lower than it used to. my rear bumper was great! might be off a little as far as being square, but it isnt off by much. my gf's dad owns an autobody shop when his work load slows down i will ask him what he suggests. thanks for the replies.

on a good note i just put on my 2.25 inlet to3.5" outlet stainless exhaust tips on. looks pretty friggin sweet!
