Christmas came early for MountaineerTom

Went down this morning and picked up my Suzuki Ozark 250.  Like I told my wife, "Holy frickin' cow, I forgot how fun 4 wheelin' was".  Me and J.T. took her out for a spin this evening and had a really good time.  There is a lot of areas to ride right here on base out near where that sand pit is that I posted pics of before.  Can't wait to get past the break-in period so I can really open her up.  Got to keep it under 1/2 throttle for the first 10 hours.  Here's a coulple pics, a few more can be seen here.  My Ozark  :D

Yep, it was brand new, still in the crate.  They had to put it together this morning and I picked her up this afternoon.  The MSRP is $3499, but the local dealer sells them for $3199.  I had to get a couple helmets, goggles, etc. also.  Plus a trailer.

It sure is.  :thumb:   I got to see some of the game today, along with a few others this year.  Even though it was a loss against Miami a couple weeks ago, it was still a good game.  I hope they can kick VT while they are down.  :puke:  (even though I do like VT after WV).  I try to keep up with them as much as possible down here in SC, they usually have 3-4 games a year on TV down here.

How 'bout them 'eers?!  :D

I would love to have an ATV.  Sorta been thinking about a Polaris Sportsman 600 but the $6500 price tag just seems to much for a toy.  You got yours for a great price.  Maybe, I should start looking at the Suzukies.

Congrats on you new toy :D

Congrats on you new toy :)

Heck an ATV with engine displacement of 350cc or more is not really a toy.  More like equipment.  Mine is a 400 and I use it for work more than for fun.  Use it for hauling firewood, moving trailers around and transportation if I just need to run a quick errand.  Also is invaluable for hunting season.  Some days I see more atvs on the roads around here than I do cars!  Used to plow snow with an old one I had but now I use the tractor for that.

Don't get me wrong.  It can become a toy real fast when you want it to! :thumb:  Tom deosn't seem to be doing much work in that photo, for example! :D  Here's me doing some work on my atv:

:)   Yeah, mines strickly for playing.  I wanted one with racks so I could carry a few items like a cooler, tent, etc.

Suzuki has the Vinson, which is around the $7000 range, I think.  The also have one called an Eiger, which looked pretty nice for around $4200, I think.  It is physicaly bigger than the Ozark, so if your a tall person, it might be a better choice.  I think the Eiger has a 400.  I didn't want to spend a ton of money, plus I didn't really want something that was huge.  My son can grow into this one as he gets older.  :thumb:

We might go out again tomorrow and me and a buddy are definately going out Monday since we're off for Veteran's day.   :D

That is so much more fun when the atv is at an angle like that, but also about 7-8 feet off the ground too  :D I wish I had pics of the atv riding me and my cousin did in the Utah mountains...just happy I didn't fall off, crash into a big tree, etc.  It is amazing how high you can get those things when you hit the top of a hill at good speed with a steep drop on the other side... :thumb:
