Was the paint so high because of rust?

 

And where did you get the crate motor? Cost?

 

 

No rust, but he took the bed off, painted the frame, the stock paint has three pearls in it and cost $1400.00 for the paint. Hood, roof were a mess, they were down to the primer and some slight rusting on the roof, and he took them to bare metal. This guy usually only does restoration of old cars and is very respected here. He did an amazing job......

 

New engine came from my local Chev dealer, It cost me $1912.00. Included new front balancer. Complete except for the intake.
