Rough Country 7.5" Lift

Recommended Posts

Hey guys i am wanting to put a lift on my truck, I am wanting to run 35's and 20's is this a good lift to go with the price is definitely good. What are the pros and cons of this lift? The other question i have is i put the 2" leveling kit on my truck and this kit says it lifts the back 6.5" so would the front sit higher than the back? Would i need to remove the leveling kit in order for it to look right? Also if anyone is running this lift i would love to see pics. Thanks for the help.

The lift is cheap in both cost and design. RC designed a 5" kit, which they did right, but then thought it would be cool to add a larger strut spacer and huuuge rear block and stretch it to a 7.5" kit. So it's really a stretched out 5" kit. The design of the kit requires that you cut off the droop stops so that the UCA's don't rest on them, which really isn't a good idea to do. Those are there to limit down travel. I'm sure this is because the knuckles are too small for a 7.5" lift, so I question the angles of the tie rod ends as well. The differential drop is also only going to be 5" at best (it's probably more like 4" but I can't be sure of that), so the CV's are maxed as well. As far as the massive "anti-wrap" blocks go, 6.5" blocks is waaay to tall. I've heard from others that the kit rides like a wagon too.

Oh, and let me repeat that the kit is completely stretched, so adding a leveling kit to it would be suicide. :sigh:

Im with blackout that kits bullshit, if you wana run a spacer with that kit you would have to the 5" kit and run maybe a 1.5" spacer.. Orrrrr

If you want 7.5" of lift you can do the fabtech 6" it will get you 7.5" (it just does, even though its marketed as 6") and it truely drops the differential 7.5" so then if you wana run a 1.5" spacer that will give you 9" thats how i roll anyways..
