1500 To 2500 Rear Leaf Spring Swap

Hello - its been a while since I had to seek advice!!

 

My 03 GMC Sierra reg cab short box 4X4 will have to be used for short hauls pulling a 24' trailer 7000lbs.

 

I have load leveling bars, and trailer tow package.

 

Does anyone know if leaf springs from a 2500 truck will fit the 1500 - straight bolt on?

I need to beef up the rear springs - dont really want a lift kit - just dont want to burry the rear end when

pulling this utlity trailer - will be doing 10-20 mile trips twice a week. City driving.

 

Will be getting a 2500 truck in a few months but need to make this work for now.

Yes they will bolt right in. I have done it myself on my last truck. Made it handle a trailer much better.
