Hello all,

Greetings from Canada, :uhoh:

I have an 08 Silverado Crew Cab with a Truxxx lift/levelling kit.

I'd like to have more of a rake to it, so I am wondering if I can combine the Truxxx 2"block, with a factory 1" block? Is this safe to do? Anyone else with experience in this regard?

Thanks.

I wouldn't, it's not safe. Just buy a solid 3" block. You will probably need new shocks (I did) and you will also need new u-bolts. Your factory block is 1.25" also. If you are wanting some rake back, just buy a solid 2.5"-3" block. Don't stack. You can do it, and some lift kits (the piece of shit rough country in particular that I had) actually call for you to stack them. It's not safe, so I bought a 3" solid block. You don't want to risk them twisting or coming apart going down the road.

I have the Zone 2" kit, which gives you the option of stacking a 2" block on top of the factory 1.25" block or just replacing it. I chose to stack them, and I think it's just fine. The centering pins fit tightly, and I've got good coverage with the u-bolts. I think stacking two short blocks is fine. I wouldn't recommend stacking two 4" blocks or something crazy like that though.

Is just buying a 3" block the ideal situation....yes, without a doubt. However, I think you'll be fine.
