I have the 5.3 on my 2011 Z71. Just purchased and read the reviews which were all great. Just wondering your personal experience.

I'll be joining this with a Dynomax Cat Back Ultra Flo exhaust.

Let'er rip guys,

Don't expect to much power gain. I noticed a little better throttle response, although it was probably just in my head, and the noise it makes sounds devilish. As far as MPG no real gain there but i drive pretty agresivly so i don't see great MPG anyway

ok it's done and I did notice some improvement but I think a tune might be in order. I will post pics shortly and the sound. I do want the sound muffled a little more though. I can't find inserts or resonators on Dynomax's website. Suggestions?

FYI........DO NOT buy the high flo dynomax dual exhaust. it hums like a marbles in a coffee can at 70. I called my guy at 4wheel parts and they are going to exchange the muffler. He made the suggestion to me and said there would be no hum in the cab......bullshit.......now I'm pissed it's been over a week and still no call. He's gonna regret hearing from me tomorrow.

I'm running the Dynomax #17233 UltraFlo welded muffler, and it's good. No drone in 4-cylinder at all. 3' in/out. Stainless. 21" body. AirAid MIT. Mileage varies with gas pedal inputs. But you got to listen to the muffler, don't you?

I have listened and it does drone considerably at highway speeds......driving me nuts still

Needless to say, but make sure your installation has no contact with any hangers or braces, and make sure that the muffler and pipe hangers do not lay directly up against the rubber isolators/hangers. This can transfer vibrations into the cabin. Check the cat-to-headpipe joint for leaks. The flanged joint can be warped if the parts aren't perfectly aligned when the band clamp is tightened down.
