Worst Thing That's Happened

I was parked in the secure parking lot at work when we got a big snow storm coming through this past winter...the plow driver was very inexperienced and driving a truck much bigger than he knew how to drive....anyways long story short he was way too close to the front of the cars and took out the front end of my truck

Also this was years ealier driving my jeep but some old woman in her 80s pulled out of a gas station parking lot and struck the rear quarter panel of my jeep, causing me to rotate and flip, totaling the jeep luckly I had no injuries out of that...She said she never saw me

ok mine isn't that bad, but i was able to fix it no problem

found what appeared to be a big scratch on my bumper, when i started to prep it for some touch up paint, my clay bar magically made it disappear!

a little bit of touch up paint, and a Langka chip/scratch repair kit will cover it up and get it back to about 95%. if your paint is metallic, you would need a clearcoat touch up pen also.

so far, a scratch caused by the dealership service department 2 weeks after I bought it.... They would repaint but I think at this point I'd rather leave it original paint than have them repaint the rear of the truck for this

is he ok?

Yes and no, we were at a McDonalds playground and he was playing and having a good time one minute and then collapsed on the ground with his eyes and tongue rolled back the next. Scared the ever living you know what out of me as nothing like this had ever happened and I didn't know what was going on. The hospital was right around the corner from where we were and I knew I could get him there faster than waiting on an ambulance and then going. In hindsight it might not have been the best decision as I blew a red light, had a Lexus bounce off me and I just kept right on going. I had tunnel vision and was focused on getting him there no matter what. Anyways, got him in there and they started working on him, I told the nurse about the accident and to please call the police and let them know where I was, the police officer who showed up was super cool and understanding. I asked him if the driver of the other car was ok and he told me he was fine not to worry about it and to tend to my son. It took until they got my son out of the CAT scan machine for him to finally sorta come out of it (I was so happy to hear him crying). Apparently he was having some sort of seizure. I've since taken him in for further testing including an EEG and they said that came back "abnormal" and I have to take him to see a pediatric neurologist. That was on Wednesday and right now were waiting for an appointment at our local childrens hospital so I've been pretty stressed about it. I'd like to think I would have chose to call the ambulance given the chance to go back and do it all over again but I'm not sure I would. I know things could have turned out even worse than they did but all I could think about was getting my kid to the hospital at that moment. The police officer told me not to beat myself up over it and told me he probably would have done the same thing if it was his child.

And here is my little buddy, I realize some of y'all might wanna beat me up for my decision to rush him to the hospital myself and I understand. However, if you wouldn't mind including my little buddy (Colton) in your prayers I would be very grateful. Thanks

Wow... I'll keep him and your family in our prayers.

Do they know what triggered the seizure yet?

No and that whats stressing me out, all they can tell me is that his EEG reveals "abnormal burst" in his frontal lobe and other parts of his cerebellum. I've been sick with worry for almost 2 weeks now.

HOLY SMOKES!!!!

Thoughts and prayers certainly go out to you guys. Please keep us informed!

Anybody out there who's a parent would've done the same thing. Nobody was hurt in the crash, so don't sweat it. Things like this are what insurance is for.

Wow man you are in my thoughts and prayers. I for one have 2 kids and would do that in a heartbeat. 3 days after my last son was born, my wife when into respiratory failure. I called 911 and an ambulance came. They were pissed as it was the day after Christmas and 3am. They told my wife she probably had the flu, and took their sweet ole time driving to the hospital stopping at every redlight. Once finally at the ER and they ran tests did the staff start to pick up the pace. She spent 3 days in ICU. I will never call an ambulance again.

Man no one here(or anywhere else for that matter) could be mad at you for doing that, i'm young myself and have no kids but i would have done the exact same thing. As long as no one else got hurt then there's no harm done, car's can be replaced, a human life can't.
