Wife backed her new 2 week old Exployer in to the side of my truck. Need whole side of bed replaced. Put new bumper cover, tail light on her truck $400.00 and said gee it is a work truck so don't worry about it. Next year it gets replaced.

Well....this one didn't happen to me, but I was on the phone with my buddy when it happened! He had a small block on an engine stand in the back of his truck. Next thing, all I heard was a LOT of cursing and a big bang. A senior had come to a full stop in front of him for no apparent reason, and when he slammed on the brakes, the engine stand flipped forward and thru the top of the roof and the back window in to the back seat! Secure your loads!!

Last summer me and buddy were in my 82 K5 blazer and we pulling out of the intersection onto the highway and when i hit the pedal we just heard a loud bang and stopped right in the middle of the damn highway. luckily a semi had hit his brakes in time just to miss us but it was one of the scariest moments in my life. turns out i had blew the transfer case to pieces and broke the driveshaft as well. and everytime i pass that intersection going home i think about that incident.

thats not even the worst of it. when the tow guys came to pick it up, the loaded it on the trailer and chained the back wheels to the trailer and put the truck in park. well they werent too smart bc the draft shaft was broken, therefore the blazer was not in park. so when they were driving down the road they hit the brakes and my blazer smashed into the front of their trailer, smashing the hood and grill. dumb f**cks

  • 6 months later...

A couple years ago my neighbor decided to do some tree removal and basically let's just say a 4 foot wide tree about 2 stories taller than his house was being suspended by his VW Beetle dune buggy which wanted to get catapulted. My dad owned the truck at this point (1999 Silverado K1500 Extended Cab Short Bed 5.3) and decided to lend a hand and pull the tree away from smashing through his bedroom. Long story short he ran the rear bumper into a tree and the bumper was totaled (thank god nothing else was). $3000 damage covered by insurance but $1000 deductible which my neighbor begged to pay for. In the end bumper was replaced brand new but our neighbor refused to pay the deductible. Moral of the story, don't use your own truck to help someone else who was dumb enough to try and cut down a towering maple 20 feet from his house.

Forgot to mention when my Dad first bought the truck 4 hours later in a Tops parking lot a shopping cart blew into the passenger door, no scratches but door had a slight dent which got fixed of course .

Was at a sporting event which I wasn't even suposed to be at, it was mid Jan. and one nasty snow storm was rolling through.

The game was over, and my wife had her own car so I went out to clean it off for her when I heard this loud bang and looked up and there was this old lady getting into the pass. side of there truck when I guess the wind caught the door of there Ford f 250 and it slammed into my side mirror of the truck and cracked the outter plastic. Which I havent replaced yet because I'm sure the whole assembly isn't cheap.

I didn't have the heart to yell at hear , but now I wish I did.

Truck was only 6months old at the time.

well for starters i was trying to show off in front of some girls so i went to put my truck in neutral and reved it while moving but missed a gear and threw it into reverse and chirped the tires but it didnt hurt the transmission and another time i was in a parking garage and pulled close to the cement wall and put it in park but it shifted forward when i put it in park and it slammed into the cement wall but it didnt hurt my truck because of the brush guard so all is good

Nothing too bad happened to this truck....just bounced a bunch of firewood off the side of the bed while loading....hey, it's a truck....gonna have dents. My Wife did freak when the truck was less than a week old, and the guy with the front loader dropped a yard of stone in it from about 5 feet above the bed....it was wet, and stuck to the bucket......she didn't like it when the truck bounced....no damage though

my buddies camper's battery was dead once out in the middle of nowhere and it needed to be charged. me being drunk and stupid i figured F**K it ill put a stick between the gas pedal and seat make it rev just over 1250 RPM charge it faster. hours later i noticed smoke comin from under the hood of my truck LOL...so i hopped in it take it for a ride to cool it off, SUPER drunk...went down some road with a buddy with me smoke in my mouth beer in my hand drivin a stick. shit hooked around the wrong corner and went STRAIGHT into the bush...5 grand damage, still drivable. new quarter panels, new hood, new door, rad support, rad(s) etc...all kinds of fun LOL. by the way this was hours away from ANY civilization, way up northern alberta. so nobody would get hurt but me and my other drunk buddy lol...we actually werent goin the fast at all. still DUMB tho. i was 18.

needless to say i learnt my lesson. dont rev up the motor sitting in park for long periods of time ahahahah :)
