Worst Thing That's Happened

Well the front end was destroyed by a kid trying to be "cool" doing donuts in a parking lot. Not two months after it was fixed, a semi drove over the front end at work. Now I knew Fords were bad luck, but anyone else constantly being hit?

2 years ago I was a senior in highschool. Living by my self at my dads house dog sitting for him he was away at work for the entire winter. I had a Mitsubishi Eclipse and A mustang cobra at the time. Drove the eclipse in the winter. Well the the tranny had went out in the eclipse one winter night so I was forced to drive my mustang back and forth to school. ( Northern wisconsin they dont plow) and it wasnt a week later I was driving about half mile from my house, went to take a turn and the car didnt turn. Ripped the E Brake and went sideways into the ditch hitting a mail box and a tree. Pretty bad week I would say. Learn by lessons. Lesson is, buy a truck.

a deer hit me(i passed it going 15 mph and it bolted and ran up and over in front of me) then a drunk girl backed across an empty parking lot into my rear quarter panel and took off, i diden't notice it until i heard this freakish grinding noise on the interstate....yeah it ended up being the bent to hell mudflap scraping the tire..

my roommate borrowed my truck at about 4am one morning to go see a "friend" who lived in a gated apartment complex which had a keypad entry about 3 feet tall. He put the code in and drove about three feet and took a hard left (he drives a honda accord usually). The keypad made contact about 3 inches back from the front of the bed on the drivers side and it stretches all the way to about a foot from the very back. Probably need a whole new bed, the scratch is deep and wide enough that it seems impossible to fill and definitely impossible to pull out. Couldn't file a police report at the time because we were both hammered and he's been putting back $200 a month since it happened back in october to get it fixed, but I haven't had any free time to even get an estimate on the damage.

Let's see....this past October, one of my 10 year-old students thought it'd be funny to write her name onto my tailgate. But since my truck was a bit dirty, her finger dragged dirt across the paint, and made scratch marks. My truck now has "Tara" etched into it. :D

so far, a scratch caused by the dealership service department 2 weeks after I bought it.... They would repaint but I think at this point I'd rather leave it original paint than have them repaint the rear of the truck for this

Well it wasn't my truck but it was my Dads truck, he lent it to a friend to move his mattress and when he was driving it to his house it got totaled when another truck ran a red light at the intersection. BTW the truck was only 7 weeks old. He was pissed but I would be too.

I was driving along with traffic when everyone in front of me slammed on their brakes and I couldn't stop in time so I swerved over into the turning lane. The turning lane and the shoulder had a bunch of lose gravel which caused me to fishtail. I did all I could not to hit the line of cars on my left or the wall on my right. In the end I hit the wall instead of the cars and flipped my car. You never know how you will react when something like that happens but all the things they say to do in an emergency just kicked in. I turned the car off, unbuckled my seat belt (I held my self in place between the steering wheel and the seat so the seat belt didn't even tighten), did a little role/flip out of the seat and pushed the door open and stepped out. It wasn't till about 10 minutes later I realized it really happened. I did meet some nice people, one lady stopped and made sure I was ok but she had to rush off cause she said she had an arrest warrant. There was another nice guy who was at my driver side door as I was standing up, he guided me to curb and then was kind enough to ask if I had "any thing" I needed him to get from the car before the cops showed up. Other then that the time I took my nice new truck to the dealer and they offered to replace my seat covers because of the lint issue. They had a new guy do it as the normal guy was out of town. None of my seat covers were on tight or straight. Most of the plastic trim was scratched or broken and my steering wheel was scratched. The guy taking the seats out and putting them back in scratch the door jams from front to back (extended cab) on both sides down to the metal in some places. I spent months and months waiting for replacement parts to come in and for them to repaint the truck. In the long run I got to know most of the people at the dealership and they got to know me, they also only let certain people touch my truck anymore so I guess that's a positive.

I was backing into a parking spot at a gas station and struck the edge of a metal frame on a pay phone that was behind the parking spot. The truck was barely moving. This caused a 2-3" long crease in the very bottom right hand side of the tailgate. It's not that big of deal but still makes me mad at myself for doing it.
