Post Pictures Of Your Trucks

Same muffler. dB does not have a flex pipe at the cat connection and some feel that this makes the AFM resonance more noticeable I could hear it on mine but it was not unbearable. The pipes are a lower grade stainless than the Corsa. I have not quite two years on my exhaust and there is some surface oxidation but nothing I'd think would cause rust through any time soon. Also, the tip is different- it is a single wall like you'd find on most other systems compared to the dual outlet/dual wall tip on Corsa systems. I think I paid like $550 plus shipping from Summit. This is a youtube vid I made after installing the exhaust:

thank you for the video btw, it really showed alot more than just the usual let me start up my truck and rev it routine. driving by it made a huge different along with showing how it sounds inside the cab. :)

wow that video helped so much more! im trying to find a louder deeper exhaust and i almost was about to go with a dynomax exhaust and it would only be like 330 plus tax. but apart from all of the different videos i have looked at, im still not 100% sure. only cuz im sure you know before you bought your corsa that it sounds completely different in a video versus real life. was the $550 at summit for the db or no? and i would say im pretty new at all this struck stuff, i use to drive a custom vw gli turbo and its alot different that a truck.lol so whats the best was to get a deeper "throaty" sound, bigger tips like 5-6 inches vs. the 3-4? also, what looks better, double output by each wheel, dual output on the stock side or single on the stock side?

Glad to help. :D The sound in the video vs. real life I think is pretty close. It's hard to be sure because the sound in the cab is different than what you hear outside. I will say that the initial startup/rev is a bit more raspy than how it actually sounds, at least now. The bark it makes on a cold startup (especially in cooler temps) is aggressive though. It was around $550 from Summit for the single outlet, I didn't want duals, it just seems like everyone has them. Also, out the back duals will echo like a bastard if you tow an enclosed trailer/camper. I went dB/Corsa over the rest because the drone/resonance is minimal with the dB kit. When you're driving down the highway it is a nice quiet rumble compared to the boomy-ness of exhausts I've heard on trucks with Flowmaster or Magnaflow setups but then when you punch the gas, the truck will clear it's throat and make some noise. As for sound, I think a bigger tip might make more noise but personally I think a 5"-6" tip would look a bit absurd. Again, that's all personal taste though.

The Corsa tip looks amazing. I love mine.

I've never been crazy about the rolled tip design and the single inlet/dual outlet tip that comes on the Corsa system for my truck is ugly to me. Plus the Corsa is almost twice as much.

so is the corsa the single in dual out set up vs. the db corsa which is the single in single out? and this is so hard to choose what i want to put on my truck, so many options!!! hahaha besides the exhaust, i pretty much know what im doing. but i dont want to put anything on the truck til i have the exhaust so i can feel complete after one day of modifications

The Corsa comes in both single in/single out or single in/dual out as does the db by Corsa. Both dual setups are straight out the back

alright that helped clear some things up. also for lifts, im looking into a lifting company that has been "the new thing" and people say its legit but have you guys ever heard of supreme suspensions? im looking to get a 3" suspension lift followed by a 3" body lift. i want to make sure its legit before i buy anything, but its super cheap and mainly advertised through ebay. its only like $530 for the combo im looking into including shipping.

in all honesty, why is it a mistake? and sorry i didnt mean suspension, i meant 3" leveling kit with a full 3" body lift, so 6 on the front and 3 in the back so its more level. and that may have cleared up my first question.lol

Any more than 2.5" leveling will trash your front end parts. I don't even want to go that high, because my angles are flat and I like them that way. I considered a diff drop, level, and airbags(rear, for towing) to raise the whole truck a little. But I decided I wouldn't really get anything from the height, other than making it hard to jump in the bed.

Many people say when you get a lift, get a full 6" suspension lift, because you'll want it eventually anyways. If I wanted a lot of height, that's what I'd do. But there are more than a few trucks with a level and body lift with very happy owners. :)

alright i got ya. well the package im talking about also has a differential drop with it, it wouldnt be cranking the angles at all. to be honest, a lift is probably the last thing im going to buy anyways, so at least i have plenty of time to think about it. hopefully i will have everything i want wrapped around and under the truck (figuratively speaking) within 6 weeks time.

Have you decided on exhaust? This is the single exit tip on the Corsa.

Just remember your CV's aren't the only thing at risk if you go over 2.5". Blackout07 can tell you all about it.

EDIT: Front end parts wishing for death at 3.5". I know it's not a 4x4 but you get the idea.

yea i hear ya, and trust me this is helping out so much. i know plenty about taking apart a old classic andrebuilding it but when it comes to trucks, its a whole different world.lol so is 2.5 still remotely safe or is that where it starts to push? im just trying to figure out a way to get a little height, nothing too big but at the same time not outrageously expensive either which i am quickly finding out is the opposite case. whats a decent levekling kit to get now n days?

Many people use the rough country kit. Many people 2.5". I run a 2.5" on my 2wd

i believe i would go with the single exit tip, and probably with the db version because i dont have too much play money at the moment. and this just comes out where the stock pipe is, correct?
