Repainted Avalanche Bumper

Well I picked up an Avalanche...So far I love it..Best car I've ever owned!

 

However it was the z71 model & I"m not to keen on the silver bumper on the front...So after I looked at it awhile I relized it could very easily be removed..sooo I had it painted Black to match the truck...Then I looked at the dull mirror caps & 2tone door handles...Didnt like them..Removed them & replaced with real chrome handles & caps..Also removed the z71 badges.. & I replaced the 18inch factory rims with 20inch aftermarket..I also added chrome towhooks "not in pics" Its been raining every other day up here in Maine..sorry for the bad second picture

 

look any good? Comments? Suggestions?

Looks great. I actually like both the before and after. And the new rims look wicked.

looks much classier with the new rims and without the ugly bull bar on the front, never have been a big fan of bull bars, though some vehicles can pull them off

I'm in the opposite boat. My Z71 Avy is silver-ish, so that bright silver center section doesn't really fit. Doesn't match, doesn't contrast...So I'm probably going to have it painted black when I get wheels

I didnt exactly dislike the bullbar..Some trucks can pull them off but a stock Avalanche sits fairly low to the ground.. Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldnt a bullbar be more of an offroad accessory? Soo I would think if I had a 4 or 6 inch lift in the Avalanche it wouldnt look that bad...I thought about a leveling kit but for me it never ends...Leveling kit...Gee those tires look small...then I add bigger tires...Fender flares could be bigger...the list goes on and on.. & I bought the Avalanche for the soft ride so I just took off the bullbar ;-)

I like your truck. Wouldn't be looking to sell your 18 inch wheels would you? Where do you live? I see snow, you wouldn't by chance live some where in or around New York State??

Well they had Bridgestone Winter Tires on them so I'm probably going to keep them for the winter..My 20's are horrible in the snow esp since I live in northern maine

Great looking truck. I like the after pictures. Who makes the wheels? Where did you buy them?

I like it better after just because of the bull bar removal. However, if you lift that thing about 6 or so inches, that bull bar will look like it was meant to be on there.
