Hypertech Maxenergy Old Programmer For New Truck?

I got maxenergy programmer for a 5.3 liter Gm pickup.

I am about to buy a new 6.2 liter one, will my programmer works on the new truck?

I just want to set top speed limiter.

Check with the HP website. Sometimes they are compatible with 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0. You'll need to check the software rev date on your device to see if it fits the parameters for the new truck.

The Hypertech Max Energy 32004 can be used on 2007-2010 and with the free software update available from there website can be used on the 6.2L ( I currently have this one)

 

For 2011 they changed the model to 32010. I dont know what the difference is but since model change Im guessing it will not work

But since the ECM on 2010 and 2011 trucks are the same and have the same programming...I will give a try !

I do know or should say have heard that there is a difference in the tranny's. Dont know if its the TCM or just the programming.
