My New (old) Truck

Well, I found a truck. Since I'm over in Afghanistan for the next 3+ weeks. I had my dad go down from Illinois to pick it up for me with his new trailer. It's in really good condition for a '97 with around 130,000 on it. It made me feel better that I actually talked to the previous owner, who was the 2nd owner (his dad had bought it new and his son bought it when he died). The transmission was rebuilt about 15k miles ago, motor hasn't been touched. I'll try to get some pics up in about a month when I get back after I spend a weekend imparting my OCD, cleaning it thoroughly inside and out. This is the only pic I have right now.

Yes, those headlights will need some attention. Probably one of the first things I'll do when I get back. Do you guys recommend buying replacements or sanding them down with a high grit (2000+) sandpaper? I wanted to do an HID conversion as well, so I don't know if it would be better to salvage the old one's or not.

i personally would go pick up some crystal clear ones just because with clear lenses the lights will be a lot better. The stock lenses on my GMT400 Sierra were faded like yours and the barley let any light throuh.

this is, only if you have the extra cash
