'09 Rcsb Budget Turbo Build

Recommended Posts

I'm gaugeing if you guys are interested in a write up of a mostly ebay purchased budget turbo build. My plan is to purchase a hot section for a f-body, and a eBay .70 t70 turbo and a quality wastgate and bov for safety. The plan is to spend under 1500 on hard parts and concentrate on tuning. Let me know what you guys think I'll put up some links as I purchase parts and pictures as start getting them together on the truck. I'm shooting for 500hp on a stock bottom and top end. More too follow.

Check out my topic....I'm planning the saaame thing. Doing a "universal" kit for a friend of mine that he bought off Ebay whenever it comes in. It's only a $500 system, so we're not expecting leaps and bounds to be made to his 2007 V6 Mustang.

Well right now I've got the parts that I'm going to use figured out. The hot section is going to be a eBay front mount for a ls1 powered f-body, And one T70 hairdryer. The only things that won't be totally budget is the wastegate and b.o.v.

Well I've had a big change of plans. Gonna work up the 5.3 with a nasty cam, stall and some big pills. Nitrous that is, I'm go.na spend the next few months working over the stock long block with pacesetter lt's and an edelbrock xt intake manifold in prep for a direct port setup. The plan is to tune it as much as I can and run it on e85 with a 300 pill for effect and have it set for strip for my first build on the truck. Later I'm gonna build a 408 once I get bored with this setup. Is there any opinions anyone has out there and do the diablo guys have any suggestions as to tuning to run on the e85, or am I going to need to call nelson or wheatley to get the tune on this motor right.
