Hypertech Problems

Recommended Posts

I have a 2003 GM sierra 1500 with a 5.3L and purchased a hypertech tuner when I bought my truck a few years ago at the time I had no problems but when I went to change the tune recently I got through the whole process and when the programming process began after a couple seconds it brought up CODE 7e programming error after talking to hypertech I found out it is supposedly and "electrical interference problem but after pulling fuses shutting stuff off etc it still doesn't work anyone have any input?

7E is an electrical interference during the programming session. If you have anything pluged in the cig lighter then you have to pull it out. If you have an aftermarket radio or amp the fuse has to be pulled. Doors must be closed.

Turn off everything....radio, HVAC, Radar Detector, any aftermarket items...you get the idea.

Oh, make sure your battery is charged.

Turn off the dome lights, in fact, just get in and close the door.
