2" Level / 3" Rear Blocks

Recommended Posts

hey everyone, my current set up is the RC 2" front levelling kit and 3" readylift rear blocks on a crew cab 1500 all terrain.

i am considering either the 1.5" or 3" zone body lift or the 1.25" RC body lift.

i have contacted both readylift and zone, readylift suggests getting the shock extender piece and zone stated that i wont be lifting the suspension, only the body.

i want to lift the truck, but i do not want to replace the rear rancho factory shocks as they only have 52,000 km on them.

i will also be replacing the stock duelers with some BFG A/T's and am looking at going with the biggest tire i can run, at the point is 33". i would be going with the 285/65R18's.

would i be able to fit a bigger tire?

does anyone have any input? it's greatly appreciated.

Buddy, you don't need two threads on the same topic. I posted to your other one:

"I have the same rc 2" front and rear readylift 3" blocks. That setup doesn't require shock extenders or longer shocks on the rear. If you are taling about adding a body lift to that, that definitely doesn't require shock extenders or longer shocks."

Here's mine with the CCM 2.5" leveling kit, 3" rear blocks, and Zone 1.5. (I know, I still have to go back and adjust the bumper)

I have 285/60/18 on there now, and will trade up to 285/65/18 soon (which I could fit without the Zone).

thanks for the input guys.

south so, i didnt realize posting topics in different categories (full size truck and suspension modifications) would be an issue.

nickS, pictures look great and i love the rims on your wifes tahoe!

i think 285/65R18's are going to be a good choice (BFG A/T's)

im am still undecided between the 1.5" and 3" BL.

some guys have made some good posts that why do the whole install for 1.5" when it takes the same time to do the 3"....with all the bumper mods and all.

Yeah, most people say that "you will want to go higher", but i'm pretty happy with where mines at. Plus, I haven't seen one up close, but Im not sure if I would like how much frame shows on the 3" and the receiver hitch. Like I said, I haven't seen one up close, but a lot of people like the 3" as well, I just don't know if it is for me.

3" is the only way to go. Give Nick a few months....his tune will change. :dunno:

The amount of frame that shows on these trucks is really a moot point IMO. They show as much or less frame as a stock HD.

Not sure if it's actually "harder", you're just going 1.5" taller than the 1.5". But I think you have to extend some stuff (steering shaft etc...). I've only done the 1.5" so someone with the 3" can let you know what all extra you have to do on the 3" vs the 1.5".

Ive seen a few in person and even with gap guards it dosnt look the greatest. The frame shows to much imo. In Pix online it looks ok and on a leveled truck its ok but when you have 6"+lift and 3"bl is when its really noticeable.
